latest news   PAR Kolloquium 15.-17.September 'Taming the Magacity'
PAR, the department for planning and building overseas at the University of Technology in Darmstadt will organize a colloquium on the occasion of the retirement of its director, Professor Dr. Kosta Mathéy from 15th to 17th of September 2011. The topics to be covered relate to the department's recent work focuses, including
· Violent cities (urban uprisings in the Maghreb region, violence and disasters);
· Climate change in urbanism,
· New housing policies,
· Cultural identities in cities.

Participation in the Colloquium if free of charge, but a small fee will be charged for those wanting to benefit from the catering services. Please let us know when you intent to participate under _'globusmail@aol.com'_

At present, internships are a mandatory part of the architecture and planning course.
Apart from this, many diploma students are opting for a voluntary internship abroad and
may get finance for it through the German Academic Exchange service
(
DAAD: www.daad.de or InWent www.inwent.org/ ).

 

PAR is offering advice and directions of offices possibly suitable for internships abroad.
