Back to the roots:   Building in Africa and elsewhere
 

This is a  studio based course interrogating conventional versions of urban design. The course will consist of a series of exercises to explore components and social conditions in African cities, streets, markets, public spaces, energy housing, security services, waste disposal, nutrition etc.
The learning objective will be to reveal more appropriate methods of designing and delivering the built environment in developing cities.

 

First meeting: Wednesday 25. April 2007 10.00 Uhr at FG PAR

Mandatory corrections every Wednesday 10-17 hrs.

Presentation of results and marks: 11 Juliy 2007

Credits: 12 ECTS, acknowledged as urban design project
