SPRING (Spatial Planning for Regions in Growing Economies) Master degree programme jointly offered by an international university network. In order to fill the evident gap in adequate training for development planning and management, six universities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe are co-operating in running the SPRING programme. Master of Science Degree in Urban Management The program focuses on interdisciplinary management approaches that cross the boundaries of conventional professional knowledge. Annual dissertation fellowships which provide financial support to students of land policy at different stages of their academic careers. As recipients of a Lincoln Institute fellowship, students contribute to the tax and land policy knowledge base and develop ideas that guide policy makers throughout the world. The fellowship program provides an important link between the Institut's re open to Ph.D. students completing their dissertations whose research focuses on some aspects of land and tax policy. Scholar Rescue Fund. This important new program provides support and safe haven to scholars around the world who are threatened as a result of their academic work. The Scholar Rescue Fund has rescued over 80 scholars from 34 different countries since 2002, enabling them to continue their teaching and research and, essentially, saving their academic work.
